His death was confirmed by his girlfriend Courtney Paulshock who remembered him as her “soul mate” in a heart-wrenching Facebook post.
“I am shattered. I’m in shock,” she wrote on Sunday.
“I can feel my heart breaking.”

He was a big personality, and he’ll be missed. Nate is mourned by his girlfriend Courtney Paulshock, and survived by his son Austin and daughter Michelle, and his memory will live on in the hearts of fellow racers and fans all over the country.
Paulshock said that Schaldach was racing in Eagle Pass, which is about two hours west of San Antonio, when he wrecked his car.
Courtney Marie Paulshock is the owner and founder of CPaulshock Photography which she founded in 2019. She hails from Anderson, Indiana but is a resident of Wichita, Kansas.
Her passion for motorsports, photography and entrepreneurship has seen her hold many positions including Still Photographer with Street Outlaws and Co-owner at CO2 Solutions Marketing.
Courtney is also an experienced healthcare administrator who holds a bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration from the IWU National & Global and a Master’s of Marketing degree from the Florida International University.
