Houston Texans wide receiver Tank Dell suffered a significant knee injury during the Texans’ 27-19 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs. The injury occurred on a touchdown catch early in the second half when Dell collided with teammate Jared Wayne. He was carted off the field in an air cast and taken to a Level 1 trauma center, where doctors confirmed a dislocated kneecap.

A source told ESPN that Dell dislocated his kneecap, confirming an NFL Network report. Any other potential injuries to the knee weren’t immediately known.
Hours after the game, NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reported Dell had sustained a dislocated knee cap and that surgery is a possibility as doctors evaluate the damage.
Ryans said Dell would remain at the hospital overnight for further evaluation.
“All our thoughts and prayers are with Tank right now,” Ryans said. “You guys can see what he means to our entire team.”
