Paulson Adebo Injury Video | Saints CB carted off the field with brutal leg injury vs Broncos
Paulson Adebo injury update: Saints CB breaks femur during ‘Thursday Night Football’ game.
New Orleans Saints cornerback Paulson Adebo had to be drawn off the field early in the second quarter during the Saints’ “Thursday Night Football” clash with the Denver Broncos.
Abedo, 25, was on the ground for several minutes and the Saints’ medical staff sited a vacuum splint on his leg and then drew him off the field. He was taken to a local medical center after getting X-rays at the stadium.
Paulson Adebo –
Pretty wild. Femur fracture requires tremendous force applied.
Slowing video down, it would seem likely to occur when he impacts Javonte Williams. But his last plant looks a little off too. Curious if he had a small stress fracture prior to this play. https://t.co/oRsJ37BfY4 pic.twitter.com/LdWTHBAbEs— Jeff Mueller, PT, DPT (@jmthrivept) October 18, 2024

The cornerback underwent surgery early Friday morning, according to Adam Schefter. Abedo’s recovery timeline is likely to be about 4-5 months.
“The surgery went well,” said Saints coach Dennis Allen. “It’s gonna be a lengthy recovery. It’s gonna cost him the season but the surgery went well.”
“It certainly can be, and that’s something we have to be able to fight through.” Allen said. “That’s the tough part of our business is seeing things like that. It can be difficult.”
