Long-time NHL general manager Ray Shero has passed away at the age of 62

Ray Shero has passed away at the age of 62. Our thoughts and prayers go out to Ray’s family, friends and colleagues 🙏

Very sad news today.

Ray Shero died from cancer after a brief illness in Arizona on April 9, 2025. He was 62 years old. According to reports, he was undergoing treatment for an aggressive type of cancer.

Ray was a great person and instrumental in bringing the Stanley Cup back to Pittsburgh. Our thoughts and prayers are with the Shero family.

Ray Shero, a longtime NHL executive who served as the New Jersey Devils general manager from 2015-20, died Wednesday at the age of 62.

Who was Miles Taylor?

Miles Taylor (born 1986 or 1987)[1] is an American author, commentator, and former government official who served in the administrations of George W. Bush and Donald Trump.

Once upon a time on a Friday night in Detroit, Ray Shero and Dan Bylsma walked together forever. Shero shockingly died today. The bond between them, however, lives on. I spoke with a very emotional Bylsma today about the man who was “everything” to him:

Rest in peace💔😭
