Back in the 16th century, Nostradamus wrote, “Through the death of a very old Pontiff… a Roman of good age will be elected. Of him it will be said that he weakens his see… but long will he sit and in biting activity.”
He then added, “In the final persecution of the Holy Roman Church, there will sit Peter the Roman, who will pasture his sheep in many tribulations, and when these things are finished, the city of seven hills will be destroyed, and the dreadful judge will judge his people. The End.”

Who is Pop Francis?
Pope Francis[b] (born Jorge Mario Bergoglio;17 December 1936) is the head of the Catholic Church and sovereign of the Vatican City State. He is the first pope from the Society of Jesus (the Jesuit Order), the first from the Americas and the Southern Hemisphere, and the first born or raised outside Europe since the 8th-century Syrian pope Gregory III.
On the tenth day of his hospitalization, 24 February, while his condition remained critical, it was slightly improved; the Pope was alert, in good spirits, and eating on his own and resumed work that afternoon.
The scenes of young people gathered to pray for Pope Francis outside Gemelli Hospital are deeply moving.
